Four Griffins Named to the USILA All-North Region Lacrosse Teams

Four members of the Chestnut Hill College Men's Lacrosse team were named to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) All-North Region team as announced by the organization this afternoon.

The honorees included all three of the Griffins' Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference first team selections:  Graduate midfielder Ben Revak (Aston, Pa.); attack Maurice Kelly (Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta) and defender Kyle Gartenmayer (Holland, Pa.) along with Second Team All-CACC honoree - graduate student defender Connor O'Donnell (Westminster, Md.).

Revak was named to the USILA all-North Third team for the second consecutive year while Gartenmayer, Kelly and O'Donnell were honorable mention selections. O'Donnell is also a two-time honoree while Gartenmayer and Kelly are being honored for the first time.

A captain on this year's CACC Championship team, Revak was tied for second on the team with 36 goals and added 24 assists to finish with 60 points.  Revak recorded ten points (six goals, four assists) in the Griffins' two conference playoff wins to earn All-CACC Tournament honors. He closed out his career with 110 total goals (fifth on the Griffins' all-time list) and 174 points (fourth all-time).

Kelly led the CACC with 71 points scored (36 goals and 35 assists).  His 71 points and 35 assists are also Chestnut Hill single season records. In just two seasons with the Griffins Kelly has scored 54 goals and has 52 assists for 106 points, a 4.81 points per game average, the highest in program history. He finished the season with streaks of 14 consecutive games with an assist and nine consecutive games with a goal

Gartenmayer also set a Griffins single season record with a league best 38 caused turnovers and the fifth highest total this season among all NCAA Division II players.  The sophomore defender ended the season with at least one caused turnover in the Griffins final 12 games and caused a turnover in 15 of Chestnut Hill's 17 contests on the season.

O'Donnell started all 17 games for the Griffins and was third on the team with 20 caused turnovers. He was one of the mainstays of the Griffins defense that allowed just 10.12 goals per game (second best in the CACC) and produced a league best average of 11.41 caused turnovers per game, a mark that was the sixth highest in all of NCAA Division II this season.He was also a captain on this year's squad.

All four honorees will now be considered for USILA All-America honors which will be announced next week.
