An eleven-point effort by junior attack Jake Ballerini led the Chestnut Hill College Men's lacrosse team to their third consecutive conference win on Saturday and paved the way for his selection to the United State Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Division II Team of the Week as announced by the organization on Tuesday.
Ballerini becomes the tenth Griffins men's lacrosse player to earn USILA Division II Team of the Week honors since its inception in 2019.
This marks the second award this week for Ballerini as he was named the CACC Player of the Week on Monday.
Players chosen for the USILA Division II Team of the Week are nominated by their respective coach or athletic communications director and chosen by the USILA office. Â
Ballerini finished the week with 16 total points on six goals and ten assists. He opened the week with a five point effort in the Griffins win over Holy Family University. On Saturday, Ballerini became the sixth player in program history to record at least 10 points in a single game as he scored four goals and assisted on seven others, leading the Griffins to a 14-5 win over Dominican University.
The junior attacker's 11-point effort is one shy of equaling the school record of 12 points in a game set by Carson Rees in 2021 and Alec Dambach in 2017.  His seven assists was also one shy of Ree's record of eight assists in a game.
The men's lacrosse team returns to action on Wednesday, March 18, 2026 hosting Quincy University at Victory Field in Lafayette Hill, Pennsylvania. Â
