Junior setter Mia Caporellie has been named the Central Atlantic Collegiate conference women's Volleyball Setter of the Week for her performance in the Griffins' three games last week.

This week's honor marks the second consecutive week and third time this season that Caporellie has earned Setter of the Week accolades, earning her first after the opening week of the season and her second last week.

Teammate Henielys Ramos joins Caporellie in earning recognition from the conference as she was named to the CACC Women's Volleyball weekly honor roll.  Ramos is also being recognized by the CACC for the third time this season, having earned Player of the Week honors last week and honor roll accolades for the week ending September 7.

Caporellie turned in another solid week, leading the Griffins to a 2-1 record. She opened the week with  41 assists in a three set win at Bloomsburg on Tuesday, just missing the school mark of 43 for a three set match set by Emily Drew in 2013.  Caporellie added 12 digs for her third double-double of the season and also had five kills, two aces and a block.  The next day she had 39 assists in loss at Wilmington.  Caporellie closed out her week with 33 assists in three set win vs. Alliance along with two kills, two aces and a block

For the week, Caporellie had 113 assists in ten sets, giving her a league leading total of 528 on the season.


Ramos continued her solid play with double-doubles in the Griffins' first two matches, notching 17 kills and 11 digs in a three set win over Bloomsburg and 20 kills and 15 digs in a four set loss at Wilmington.  Ramos closed out the week with 11 kills vs. Alliance giving her 48 for the week in just ten sets (4.80/set).  She currently ranks second in the league with 201 kills, one behind league leader Mateo of Georgian court University.



The Chestnut Hill College Women's Volleyball team returns to action on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 for a non-conference match against West Chester University at Sorgenti Arena.  Tipoff is set for 7:00 p.m.
