Three members of the Chestnut Hill College Men's Lacrosse team were named to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) All-North Region team as announced by the organization earlier this week.
The honorees included three of the Griffins' four Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference's first team selections: Graduate short stick defensive midfielder
Jack Clyne; senior defender
Dan Grubb and senior goalkeeper
Austin Jones.  All three Griffins were honorable mention selections.
Jones, the CACC Goalkeeper of the Year had a stellar year in net for the Griffins as Chestnut Hill captured its third consecutive CACC Championship. The senior goalie finished second in the NCAA in goal against average (7.22) and led all division II goalkeepers in save percentage (63.2%) while allowing the fewest goals among all CACC goalkeepers (99).  Jones finished the season with a 10-4 record and has a school record 32 wins for his career. He finished his career ranked second on the Griffins all-time list with 547 saves.
Clyne, the anchor on the Griffins' midfield defense, finished the season with 11 goals and 13 assists for 24 points and no goal was bigger than his final one of the season, scoring with just 4.7 seconds left in the game to give the Griffins a 10-9 lead as they went on to capture their third straight conference title. He started in all 15 games for the Griffins this season.
Grubb led the team in caused turnovers with 20 and was second on the team with 29 ground balls. His 20 caused turnovers was the fourth highest mark in the CACC this season. The defensive-minded Grubb scored his only two goals of the season in the CACCÂ smei-final game against Wilmington University.
All three honorees will now be considered for USILA All-America honors which will be announced at the end of the week.
