Two members of the Chestnut Hill College men's lacrosse team were among the 40 lacrosse student athletes recognized by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association as USILA/Blatent Lacrosse Division II Scholar All-Americans in an announcement by the organization.

Graduate Student Jack Clyne and senior Daniel Grubb were the two Griffins' recognized by the USILA, capping off their stellar careers at Chestnut Hill.  The pair are the 15th and 16th players in the history of the program to earn USILA Scholar All-American Athlete honors.

A USILA Scholar All-American must be nominated by his coach and be a student with a senior year of academic standing and a cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of at least a 3.0. He will have behaved in a manner that has brought credit to himself, his institution, and to college lacrosse both on and off the field. He must also be either a USILA All-American, a member of a North/South Team, or an outstanding league or conference player.

Grubb and Clyne led the Griffins to their third consecutive Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference championship in May of this year and have been a part of all three championship teams.  The duo were also selected to the All-North Region Team.

Clyne, the anchor on the Griffins' midfield defense, finished the season with 11 goals and 13 assists for 24 points and no goal was bigger than his final one of the season, scoring with just 4.7 seconds left in the game to give the Griffins a 10-9 lead as they went on to capture their third straight conference title.  He started in all 15 games for the Griffins this season.

A team co-captain who returned to play his final year while attending graduate school, Clyne is pursuing a master's degree in education after graduating in 2022 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education.  As an undergraduate student, he was named to the Dean's List four times and has earned Chestnut Hill Athletic Academic honor roll status five times during his collegiate career.  Earlier this month, Clyne was named to the PhillySIDA Academic All-Area team.

A co-captain along with Clyne, Grubb led the team in caused turnovers with 20 and was second on the team with 29 ground balls. His 20 caused turnovers was the fourth highest mark in the CACC this season. The defensive-minded Grubb scored his only two goals of the season in the CACC  semi-final game against Wilmington University.

Grubb graduated this past May with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Management
