Six members of the Chestnut Hill College Women's Tennis team have been named to the 2023-24 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Women's Tennis all-Academic Team in an announcement by the conference office earlier today.

Earning CACC all-Academic honors for the third time are seniors Nele Haag and Lottie Allin while junior Romi Meirovich  becomes a two-time honoree.   First time honorees include seniors Alison Isaac and Annika Wise along with sophomore Claudia Rasilla.

Haag graduated earlier this month summa cum laude with a dual degree in International Affairs and Political Science.  The senior athlete sported a perfect 4.0 g.p.a. throughout her career at Chestnut Hill.   In the fall, Nele was named the CACC's Top XVII Award winner for the second consecutive year.  The top XVII Award is given to the women's tennis student-athlete that has the highest g.p.a. and is competing at the conference championship tournament.

Earlier this month, Haag became the program's first two-time College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® honoree. The senior athlete is a member of two honor societies, Chi Alpha Sigma, the national student athlete honor society and Phi Sigma Iota, the foreign languages honor society. Haag is a 2X D2 Athletic Directors Association (D2ADA) Academic Achievement Award winner and a 3X ITA Scholar Athlete (2021- 2023).

Allin also graduated earlier this month with a degree in exercise science.  She is a two-time ITA Scholar Athlete Award winner, a 2021-22 D2ADA Academic Achievement Award winner.  Allin is a member of three honor societies having been inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma last spring while also being a member of the Sigma Zeta (sciences) and Alpha Lambda Delta (first-year students) Honor societies. Lottie has earned Dean's List and CHC Athletic Academic Honor Roll in every semester since arriving at Chestnut Hill in the Fall of 2020.

Haag and Allin are the seventh and eighth tennis players in program history to earn CACC all-Academic Team honors three times.

Meirovich is a business administration and management major at Chestnut Hill. Earlier this month she became one of four Griffin women's tennis players to earn CSC Academic All-District® honors. The junior athlete was one of three members of the Women's tennis team to be inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma last month.  Meirovich is poised to earn her second ITA Scholar-Athlete Award when that team is announced next month. She has earned Dean's List and CHC Athletic Academic Honor Roll accolades five times in her first six semesters as a Griffin.

Isaac also earned CSC Academic All-District® honors earlier this month and was inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma last month. She is also a member of the Sigma Zeta Honor society as a health science major. Isaac is also poised to earn her second ITA Scholar Athlete award when those teams are announced later this month. She has earned Dean's List three times and CHC Athletic Academic honor roll status four times in her two seasons as a Griffin.

Wise was the fourth women's tennis player to earn CSC Academic All-District® honors this season and recently graduated with a degree in Business Administration and Management. Like Isaac and Meirovich, Wise was also inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma last month.  She is poised to earn her third ITA Scholar-athlete Award when that team is announced next month.

Rasilla is also a business administration and management  major and has earned Dean's List and CHC Athletic Academic honor roll accolades in every semester while at Chestnut Hill.

Since the 2007-08 season a total of 23 Chestnut Hill College women's tennis players have earned CACC all-Academic team honors a total of 43 times.  Eight players, including Allin and Haag this year have been named to the all-academic team three times while four additional players have earned the honor twice.
