Two members of the Chestnut Hill College Men's lacrosse team were named to the USILA/Blatant Division II All-America team in an announcement made by the United State Intercollegaite Lacrosse Association Thursday morning.

Named as Honorable Mention All-Americans were goalkeeper Julius Sorino and defender Daniel Grubb. The pair are just the sixth and seventh players to earn USILA all-American status and the first since the 2021 season.

Grubb and Sorino were recently named to the USILA Division II all north Region team and both athletes took home major awards when the Central Atlantic Collegiate conference released their all conference teams last month.  In addition to both players being named to the first team, Grubb was named the CACC's  Defensive Player of the Year while Sorino was named the CACC's goalkeeper of the Year.

The two outstanding players helped lead the Griffins to their fourth consecutive CACC Tournament Championship earlier this month.  Both players are members of all four championship teams.

Sorino turned in a stellar season, leading the CACC in goals against average (7.10) and save percentage (63.9%).  His goals against average is tops among NCAA Division II goalkeepers and his save percentage ranks second in the NCAA.  He has also allowed the fewest goals by a CACC and NCAA goalkeeper this season (95).

Grubb led the team with 24 caused turnovers and a 1.60 caused turnovers/game average, ranking fourth and fifth in the CACC respectively. The two-time all-CACC honoree also contributed 41 ground balls on the season.

Chestnut Hill's Men's Lacrosse program has produced a 43-16 record (.729 winning percentage) during it's four year championship run (2021-2024), including an 11-4 record this season under second year head coach Jim DeCarlo.
