A total of 172 Chestnut Hill College student-athletes were honored by being placed on the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Spring 2024 Academic Honor Roll, as announced by Commissioner Dan Mara.
The number represents a slight increase of three from the Fall 2023 CACC Academic Honor Roll which saw 169 Griffin athletes named.

The CACC Academic honor roll initiative was constructed by members of the CACC's Faculty Athletics Representatives (FAR) group, and approved by the league's Presidents' Council. FARs are a vital component of each institution's athletic department as the faculty member serves as a liaison between athletic administrators/coaches/student-athletes and academic administrators/faculty.

Three levels of academic achievement were highlighted. Individuals who earned fall semester GPAs of 3.0-3.49 were placed at the Commissioner's Level, while athletes attaining 3.50-3.99 marks were placed on the Presidents' Level. Student-athletes earning perfect 4.0 GPAs during the fall were lauded as FAR Award of Distinction honorees.

A total of 26 Chestnut Hill student athletes earned the FAR Award of distinction while 84 were placed on the presidents' level.  Forty-nine Griffin athletes were placed on the Commissioner's level.  The 172 student athletes honored make up 72.8% of all the eligible CACC athletes at the institution.  Thirteen of the 172 honorees compete in more than one sport.  Sprint football athletes are not included as they are members of the collegiate sprint football League (CSFL) and not the CACC.

Baseball placed 33 athletes on the CACC Academic Honor roll while men's lacrosse had 22 athletes earn conference academic honor roll status.  The Griffins' women's and men's soccer teams both  placed 17 players on the honor roll list.

The Griffins' Men's Tennis team placed all 11 of its members on the honor roll lists (100%) for the second consecutive semester.   The Women's Tennis (9 athletes) and Women's Basketball (11)  teams also had 100% of their team members named to the honor roll. Other Chestnut Hill teams that placed at least 70% of their respective athletes on the CACC Academic honor roll include women's soccer - 85% (17/20); women's lacrosse - 75% (12/16);  men's basketball – 72.7% (8/11); women's bowling – 71.4% (5/7); golf – 71.4% (5/7); and men's lacrosse  - 70.9% (22/31)

"The CACC and its member schools work extremely hard in making sure that student-athletes excel in the classroom," CACC Commissioner Dan Mara said. "The total number of individuals on the Academic Honor Roll illustrates the tremendous effort put forth by administrators throughout our conference in mentoring student-athletes and teaching them that a college education will take them even further then they thought possible. Our student-athletes are learning valuable life lessons by achieving tremendous success in the classroom."

More than 2,100 student athletes from the CACC's 12 institutions were named to the CACC Academic Honor Roll.

A total of 325 student-athletes earned a 4.0 GPA, while 1,065 achieved grades at the Presidents' Level. The remaining 733 student-athletes achieved the Commissioner's Level.

Eleven (11) of the 12 CACC member schools had over 100 student-athletes recognized with two schools having more than 200 honorees (Georgian Court University with 207 and Wilmington University with 205).
