Five Men's Lacrosse Players Named to the 2025 CACC Men's Lacrosse All-Academic Team

Five members of the Chestnut Hill College Men's Lacrosse team have been named to the 2025 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men's Lacrosse All-Academic Team in an announcement made by the conference office on Tuesday.

In order to be eligible for the CACC All-Academic Teams, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, must have been a student-athlete at their current school for at least two semesters, and must have achieved a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.50 or higher through the preceding semester.

Two Griffin honorees, Evan Farlow and Sam Slater earn CACC all-Academic Team honors for the third time while Daniel Myers is a two-time honoree. Austin Derx and  Cooper Jackson are first time honorees.

The five Chestnut Hill players were among 50 players named to the team, representing all nine schools that play men's lacrosse within the conference.  All five Chestnut Hill honorees were also named to the CACC Academic Honor roll in each of the past three semesters.


Derx and Myers were inducted into  Chi Alpha Sigma, the National Student-Athlete Honor Society this past May  while Slater and Farlow were 2024 inductees.

All five athletes were also named D2 Athletic Director's Association (D2ADA) Academic Achievement Award Winners for 2023-24.

Slater graduated this past May with a bachelor's degree in psychology major. He has earned Dean's List and CHC Athletic Academic Honor Roll accolades in every semester at Chestnut Hill. He is also a two-time College Sports Communicators Division II Academic All-district At-Large Team honoree and was named to the Philly-SIDA Academic all area Men's lacrosse team in 2024.

Farlow graduated in May with a bachelor's degree in business administration and management.  In addition to the above accolades, he has earned Deans list honors four times and CHC Athletic Academic honor Roll accolades five times during his career at Chestnut Hill.

Myers a business administration and management major has earned Dean's List and CHC Athletic Academic honor roll accolades in each of his first six semesters.

Derx and Jackson also graduated this past May with Derx receiving a bachelor's degree in criminal justice and Jackson a bachelor's degree in exercise science. Derx and Jackson transferred into Chestnut Hill in the fall of 2023 and have earned Dean's List and CHC Athletic Academic honor roll accolades in each of their four semesters as a Griffin.

Since men's lacrosse became a CACC sponsored sport in 2018, 21 different Griffin men's lacrosse players have been named to the CACC Men's Lacrosse All-Academic Team a total of 43 times.  Farlow and Slater are among the six players who have earned All-Academic honors three times.   Seven players including Myers have earned All-Academic honors twice.  One athlete, Connor O'Donnell was named to the all-academic team four times.
