The Chestnut Hill College Women's Bowling team has been recognized by the National Tenpin Coaches Association as an all-Academic team for 24-25  with the release of the NTCA all-Academic Team and Individual all-Academic awards this week.

The bowling team was among the 49 teams recognized by the NTCA as an All-Academic Team, marking the eighth time in the last nine seasons that the Griffins have been recognized by the coaches association. (2016-17 to 2022-23, 2024-25).  To be recognized, programs must have a cumulative team grade point average (GPA) of a 3.2 or higher for the academic school year.   The Griffins had a 3.408 team g.p.a. for 2024-25. That mark was fourth among schools from the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference and rank 12th among all 22 non-division one programs honored.

Individually, 11 members of the team who participated in at least one match  were recognized as 2024-25 Individual All-Academic honorees.  A student athlete must have a cumulative GPA of 3.40 or higher for the academic year to be recognized.  All 11 athletes were first time honorees and ten of the 11 also participated in a second sport (softball  or women's soccer) and helped fill in roster positions on the bowling team this season.

Leading the way was freshman Taylor Graham  who participated in every match this season.  Joining Graham were freshmen Rebecca Cessna and Devin Warner who took part in the Griffins' fall matches.  Spring participants on the bowling team were juniors Kaitlyn Brace, Virginia Perry and Lauren Sullivan, sophomores Kylee Bamberger, Shaina Klos and Peyton Lennon, and freshmen Haley Esposito and Grace Mott.

Bamberger, Brace, Klos and Perry was also named to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Women's bowling all-Academic Team earlier this spring

Including this year's honorees, 24 Chestnut Hill College bowlers have earned NTCA All-Academic recognition a total of 39 times since the bowling team's inaugural season of 2016-17.
