Chestnut Hill College Men's Lacrosse player Mick Kilgallon has been named to the 2025 Philly-SIDA Men's Lacrosse Academic All-Area team. Kilgallon is one of 13 athletes from ten different schools who were named to this year's hilly-SIDA Men's Lacrosse Academic All Area team. The Philly-SIDA Academic All-Area teams are voted on by the sports communications offices of the institutions from the Philadelphia area.
Kilgallon becomes the ninth player in the history of the program to be named to the Philly-SIDA Academic All-Area Men's Lacrosse team.
Now in its 20th season, The Philly-SIDA Academic All-Area program honors student-athletes in the Philadelphia metropolitan area who excel academically and athletically. To be eligible, a student-athlete must be in at least their second year at their institution academically and athletically and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher.
The graduate student midfielder led the Griffins this season with 26 goals and 44 points while ranking second on the team with 16 assists. He scored at least one goal in all12ofhis starts. Kilgallon earned honorable mention all-America honors from the USILA in addition to being named to the USILA third team all-north Region as a midfielder. He was also named to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference First Team all-CACC.
A graduate transfer from Misericordia University, Kilgallon scored 102 goals for the Cougars and was named to the Mac Freedom All-conference team twice. He also was named to the MAC Freedom Academic honor roll three times and the MAC Freedom all-Academic Team once. Kilgallon was named to the CACC Fall 2024 Academic Honor Rollin his first semester at Chestnut Hill. He is currently pursuing a master's degree in cyber security.
Joining Kilgallon on the Academic All-Area Team are David Azzarano of Immaculata, Brendan Boschi of Neumann, Emmet Carroll of Penn, Josh Devine and Gunnar Seamen from Gwynedd Mercy, Matt Licata and Tyler Sandoval from Villanova, Nick Litzenberger of Eastern, Kyle McLaughlin of Arcadia, Matt Richards and Reid Tietjen from Haverford and Levi Verch of St. Joseph's University. Verch was voted the 2025Men's Lacrosse performer of the Year.
