Twelve members of the 2025 Chestnut Hill College Football team were among the 110 student-athletes named to the 2025 Collegiate Sprint Football League (CSFL) All-Academic Team as announced by Commissioner Dan Mara on Friday
To be eligible, a student-athlete must a) have a cumulative GPA of 3.20 or higher; b) appeared in at least one contest for the nominated season; c) be at least a sophomore both academically and athletically; d) and must have completed at least two semesters at their current institution. There is no limit to how many nominees a school may have, provided they meet the listed criteria.
The 12 Griffin athletes recognized by the CSFL mark the fourth consecutive season that the Griffins had at least ten players named to the all-academic team. The team placed 13 players the 2022 and 2023 all-academic teams and 11 on the 2024 team. The CSFL all-Academic Team was established in 2017-2018,
Three of the 12 Chestnut Hill players are appearing on the CSFL All-academic Team for the third time. They include graduate student Cam Goldsmith and seniors Jonathan Havrilak and Justin Oppong. Making his second appearance on the All-Academic team was junior Hunter Oaks.
Eight Griffins earned CSFL all-Academic Team honors for the first time. They include senior Ced Brown, redshirt juniors Joseph Lisa and Dahquan Richardson, junior Kindrik Branch and sophomores Tzion Allen, Riley Stidham, Alex Taule and Wyatt Thompson
Eight different undergraduate majors were represented among the 12 Griffin honorees with four athletes majoring in Business Administration and Management (Oaks, Richardson, Stidham and Thompson). Two athletes are Cybersecurity majors (Branch and Brown) while six additional majors were represented by one athlete apiece: Political Science and International Studies {dual major} (Oppong); Exercise Science (Allen); Psychology (Havrilak); Media and Communications (Lisa); and Early Education (Taule). Goldsmith, who earned an undergraduate degree in Business Administration and Management is in the college's Master of Business Administration program.
A total of 35 members of the Chestnut Hill College Sprint Football team have earned CSFL All-Academic Team honors a total of 55 times since its inception in 2018 with six players, including the three players on this year's team earning the honor three times, and eight players including Oaks this year's team earning CSFL all-Academic team honors twice. A total of 21 players were named to the team once during their career as a Griffin.
The Chestnut Hill College football team finished second in the CSFL South Division in 2025 and had an overall record of 5-3.
