Eleven members of the Chestnut Hill College Sprint Football team have earned all-conference accolades from the Collegiate Sprint Football League in an announcement made by the league office Tuesday morning. The all-conference team is voted on by the league's nine coaches.
The 11 Griffins named to the team represent the third most Chestnut Hill players to be selected to a CSFL all-conference team exceeded only by the 2016 team (13 honorees) and 2024 team (12 honorees) Five players earned First Team honors while two garnered second team accolades and four were honorable mention All-CSFL.
Earning first team honors for the Griffins were seniors Kyree Griffin, Cam Goldsmith and Lex Williams; junior Aiden Neff; and sophomore Xavier Limehouse . Griffin, Neff and Limehouse were First team Offense honorees while Goldsmith and Williams were First Team Defense
Junior Amir Jenkins and sophomore Shaleer Singleton earned second team honors with Jenkins earning Second Team Defense accolades and Singleton Second team Offense honors.
Seniors Anthony Cancellare and Miles Coates along with juniors Lexx Santiago and Andre Cancellare were honorable mention All-CSFL selections. Andre Cancellare was honorable mention defense while Anthony Cancellare, Coates and Santiago earned honorable mention offense accolades.
Six of the 11 honorees have earned all-conference honors in multiple seasons. Griffin is a three-time first team honoree (2023-25) while Williams earned all-CSFL accolades for the fourth time (2nd team 2023, honorable mention: 2022, 2024). Goldsmith, Santiago, Jenkins and Anthony Cancellare are repeat honorees from last season.
Griffin, a wide receiver, broke the school record for receptions in a season with 37 and ranked third in the league in catches and second in yards with 541. Limehouse broke the school record for rushing ysards in a single season with 770 rsanking third in the league. He also ranked second in the league with ten rushing touchdowns, which is also a Griffins' single season mark.
Chestnut Hill earned first team honors at the tight end position for the fourth straight year with the selection of Neff. Neff was second on the team with 33 catches, which also bettered the former CHC single season mark of 32 set back in 2019. His 399 yards receiving rank ninth in the league and Neff's five touchdowns led all tight ends and was second in the league overall.
Anthony Cancellare was clearly the best quarterback in the CSFL this season, completing 68.5% of his passes for 1,832 yards to lead the league in both categories (both are also school records). His 14 touchdown passes were second only to first team honoree Kyle West of Army (18).
Coates was the Griffins' second tight end honored this season. He caught 11 passes for 192 yards.
Singleton and Santiago are both members of the Griffins offensive line and were part of the CHC unit that allowed just ten sacks on the season, the third fewest sacks allowed behind Army and Navy this season. . As offensive lineman, Singleton and Santiago also were part of the offensive unit that produced school record 3,037 yards of total offense this season.
On the defensive side, Williams and Goldsmith were the team's two leading tacklers. Williams set a school record with 67 tackles (5th in league) while Goldsmith added 55. Goldsmith also led the league with a school record 8.5 sacks on the season.
Jenkins finished the season with 36 tackles, 2.5 sacks and four pass breakups. Andre Cancellare had 15 tackles, a team best seven pass breakups and one interception
The Chestnut Hill College sprint football team finished their 2023 campaign with a 5-3 overall record and a 2-1 mark in CSFL South division action, finishing second in the division standings behind Navy for the second consecutive year.
