Chestnut Hill College student-athletes continued to be recognized for their academic success as Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Commissioner Dan Mara announced the CACC's Spring 2026 Academic Honor Roll. A total of 271 Chestnut Hill College student-athletes were recognized on the spring honor roll listing with six of those representing 2 or more sports, bringing the total to 177 honorees. This is an decrease of 36 from the fall 2025 CACC Academic Honor Roll which saw a record 213 athletes honored.
The CACC Academic honor roll initiative was constructed by members of the CACC's Faculty Athletics Representatives (FAR) group, and approved by the league's Presidents' Council in the fall of 2023. FARs are a vital component of each institution's athletic department as the faculty member serves as a liaison between athletic administrators/coaches/student-athletes and academic administrators/faculty.
Three levels of academic achievement were highlighted. Individuals who earned fall semester GPAs of 3.0-3.49 were placed at the Commissioner's Level, while athletes attaining 3.50-3.99 marks were placed on the Presidents' Level. Student-athletes earning perfect 4.0 GPAs during the fall were lauded as FAR Award of Distinction honorees.
A total of 36 Chestnut Hill student athletes earned the FAR Award of Distinction while 93 were placed on the presidents' level. Forty-eight Griffin athletes were placed on the Commissioner's level. The 171unique student athletes honored make up 72.8% of all the eligible Chestnut Hill athletes at the institution. Sprint football athletes are not included as they are members of the Collegiate Sprint Football League (CSFL) and not the CACC. In addition, men's tennis athletes were not included as they compete in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference and women's flag football competed in the Atlantic East Conference for their inaugural season but will become a part of the CACC in 2027.
Baseball placed 31 athletes on the CACC Academic Honor roll while men's lacrosse had 23 athletes earn conference academic honor roll status. The women's soccer team had 23 of their athletes named to the academic honor roll while the softball and women's lacrosse teams placed 19 and 18 of their athletes respectively earn academic honor roll status. athletes.
Two programs placed at least 90% of their athletes on the academic honor roll with the women's tennis team placing all five of their players on the academic honor roll for 100% for the second consecutive semester. Women's Softball had 19 of their 21 players earn academic honor roll status (90.5%) An additional five Griffin athletic teams had between 80 and 89.9% of their athletes named to the CACC Academic Honor Roll. The women's softball team with six FAR Award of Distinction honorees weas tied for the most FAR honorees in their league for their respective sports.
A total of 2,260 student athletes from the CACC's 11 institutions were named to the CACC Academic Honor Roll. Lincoln University as an associate member for baseball and women's soccer also had athletes included among the 2,260 honored. A total of 368 athletes were honored at the FAR Award of Distinction level.
