Morgan Frustrates Golden Falcons;
Earns CACC Honorable Mention
 
New Haven, CT – (4/18/2011) – Junior pitcher Dan Morgan (Upper Darby, PA) threw six innings of one-hit baseball at Felician College on Sunday, April 17, to collect his third win of the season and earn an honorable mention for the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Pitcher of the Week award. Morgan’s performance helped Chestnut Hill College to a 4-1 win and an eventual split with the Golden Falcons.
 
Morgan collected his third win of the season (3-3) for Chestnut Hill College (10-18, 6-7) after a strong performance in the Griffins first game at Felician College on Sunday, April 17. Holding home team to four base runners, Morgan struck out three over six innings and kept the Golden Falcons off balance all day. Meanwhile the Griffins worked for four runs to take the opener of the CACC doubleheader. Morgan has struck out 32 in 40.2 innings of work while posting a 4.87 earned run average.
 
The baseball team resumes CACC play on Wednesday, April 20, when they host Wilmington University in a 4:00 p.m. doubleheader.
