Orangeburg, NY – (3/9/2010) – The Chestnut Hill College men's lacrosse team opened their East Coast Conference (ECC) schedule with a contest at Dominican College. The Chargers scored the contest's first, seven goals en route to a 15-2 win over the Griffins. Freshman midfielder

Nate Tharp (Laurel, MD) each recorded their first collegiate goals in the loss.
Dominican College (2-0, 1-0) scored the first goal of the contest with 12:20 remaining in the first quarter. The Chargers followed that tally with six consecutive goals, before Bohon answered the run on a man-up opportunity with 10:50 remaining in the second quarter. Bohon's first collegiate goal made the score 7-1 entering halftime. Following the break, the Chargers rattled off five more goals to open the second half putting Chestnut Hill College (1-1, 0-1) down 12-1 with 10:03 remaining in the fourth quarter. Tharp netted the Griffins' second score with 5:45 left to play but the Chargers quickly ended any thought of a rally with three goals in the final 3:44.

Connor Lawlor (Neptune City, N.J.) led the Chargers' offensive outburst. Jones scored four goals and collected five ground balls while Lawlor recorded three goals. Freshman midfielder
Harlan Bennardo (Rumson, N.J.) was 10-of-20 on face-offs and contributed one goal in the win. Junior goalie
Brendan Bonacum (Port Jefferson Station, N.Y.) earned the win for the Chargers. He made 13 saves in 49:02 minutes of playing time. Freshman goalkeeper
Andrew Slater (Brookfield, Conn.) made one save over the final 10:58.

Joe Rucinsky (Camp Hill, Pa.) combined for five ground balls and five caused turnovers to lead the Griffin defense. Freshman goalie
Dakota Maurer (Lititz, PA) made four saves in the opening 45 minutes while taking the loss (1-1) and freshman goalie
Andrew D'Addona (Norristown, PA) made two saves in the fourth quarter.
