Box Score Lafayette Hill, Pa. – (4/16/2016) – A competitive contest early, today's sensational Senior Day contest versus Holy Family University saw Chestnut Hill College outscore the Tigers 9-1 in a 25-minute frame the spanned the halftime gap and left the Scarlet and Gold ahead 12-7 with 16-minutes to play. From there the Griffins managed to keep their distance from the Tigers in a 14-12 Central Atlantic College Conference (CACC) final that was not as close as it appeared. It was the Griffins' first win over the Tigers since 2009 and the seventh straight in their current streak.
The sunny spring weather served as the perfect backdrop for the opening Chestnut Hill College (8-5, 6-0) Senior Day ceremony, which gave way to an even better first half. Holy Family University (3-11, 3-3) scored the game's first goal at 27:12 (1-0) and soon after (26:35) junior midfielder
Jacklyn O'Leary (East Meadow, N.Y.) recorded the first of her three goals on a free position shot, 1-1. The Tigers recaptured the lead in the next minute, using a 3-1 run to own a 6-3 advantage with 13:34 still in the opening half. Emorie Keimig (Freeland, Md.) sparking the Griffins for a 5-0 run to halftime that ended with an unassisted O'Leary goal, 8-6 (1:59).
The Tigers scored to start the second half as well, returning the contest to just a one-goal difference, 8-7, at 22:03. But another Griffin run, this one for four goals, earned the home team a five-goal, 12-7, lead midway (16:18) through the later frame. Sophomore attack

Julia Reinert (Bridgeport, Pa.) led the Griffins' second streak and minutes later Keimig exchanged goals with the Tigers allowing her enough of a cushion, 13-8 at 12:39 to play in goal for the final seven minutes of Senior Day.
Holy Family University received four goals apiece from senior attack Erin Harmer (Philadelphia, Pa.) and senior midfielder Paige Settar (Mullica Hill, Pa.). Settar also provided a ground ball, four draws, and a caused turnover. They got help from freshman midfielder Dana Trevito (Vorhees, N.J.) who offered a goal, three assists, a ground ball, two draws, and a caused turnover. Senior goalkeeper Grace Deckert (Jarrettsville, Md.) made 15 saves and recovered a ground ball in the loss (3-11).
For the Griffins, Keimig headlined the box score with four goals, three ground balls, four draws, and two caused turnovers. She was complimented by three-goal performances from Sanders and O'Leary, who now rests four goals shy of the century mark. Jaida Zabala (East Meadow, N.Y.) captained an aggressive unit. Leckonby totaled five ground balls, three draws, and three caused turnovers, while Zabala contributed a ground ball, a draw, and a caused turnover off the bench. Lang made four saves and recovered a ground ball in the win (8-5).
