Box Score Lafayette Hill, Pa. – (4/30/2016) – After an opening free position goal from junior midfielder
Jacklyn O'Leary (East Meadow, N.Y.), Molloy College took control of today's season finale at Victory Field #1. The Lions scored six straight goals and eventually led 7-2 at halftime, before a more competitive second half left the final margin just a goal higher, 16-10. O'Leary totaled four goals in all, three coming on the free position shot, and the fourth unassisted. Senior midfielder
Emorie Keimig (Freeland, Md.) scored two goals, the second was Chestnut Hill College's last and the 100
th of her collegiate career, making her the eighth member program's century club.
O'Leary led the Chestnut Hill College (10-7) resistance, scoring both of the Griffins' first-half goals in opposition to the Lions' seven strikes. Molloy College (10-6) answered her opening goal just 18 second later (28:15) and scored the next five goals to lead 6-1 before the 17-minute mark (17:27). She scored again at 12:35; a second free position goal that reduced the margin to four goals, 6-2. The Lions accounted for that tally before the break, 7-2, and afterward they managed to keep their distance against a more united Griffin front. A visitor goal opened the second half scoring, 8-2 (28:19), but it was soon combatted with back-to-back Griffin goals from O'Leary (8-3 at 27:58) and junior midfielder
Rachel Perry (Gilbertsville, Pa.) to decrease the deficit to four goals, 8-4, with 27:21 still to play. Unfortunately, for every Chestnut Hill College goal there was one from Molloy College, keeping the visitor's out of range and focusing the Griffins' attention to Keimig's pursuit of the milestone. She recorded it at 2:20 with an unassisted score that left the final spread at six, 16-10.
Leading the Lions, sophomore attack Jessica Markowitz (Baldwin, N.Y.) matched O'Leary's effort with four goals of her own. She also recorded four ground balls, four draws, and two caused turnovers. Six other Lions scored twice. Most notable was graduate attack Megan Orlando (Hicksville, N.Y.), who added three assists and a draw to her scoring; and junior midfielder Cooper Sesselman (Lindenhurst, N.Y.), who recorded three ground balls, a draw, and three caused turnovers. Junior Caroline Winters (Baldwin, N.Y.) played a majority of minutes (48:23) in goal for the visitors and totaled six saves and two ground balls in the win (10-6).

Beyond O'Leary and Keimig, the Griffins received a strong performance sophomore midfielder
Hunter Leckonby (Charleston, S.C.), who recorded three ground balls, seven draws, and caused a turnover; and sophomore attack
Julia Galantich (Clinton Corners, N.Y.), who recorded two assists, a ground ball, and four draws. In front of junior goalkeeper
Katie Joe Lang (Manassas, Va.), the Chestnut Hill College defense contributed in various ways. Sophomore
Jaida Zabala (East Meadow, N.J.) provided her second assist of the season in addition to a ground ball and two draw controls, while senior
Courtney Weidner (Philadelphia, Pa.) scored her only goal of the season in excess of two ground balls and a caused turnover. Lang made 14 saves and recovered three ground balls in the loss (10-7).
