Felician University (0-9, 0-2) netted the first goal of the contest (1-0, 12:36), but did not find the goal again until midway through the second quarter (9-2, 7:44).Freshman attack
J.R. Howell (East Meadow, N.Y.) sparked the Chestnut Hill College (5-7, 2-0) offense, first locating junior attack
Casey Brown (Havre de Grace, Md.) to tie the game, 1-1 (7:33), before scoring himself at 6:33 (2-1) and later finding senior midfielder
Joshua Pope (Schnecksville, Pa.) to give the Griffins a 3-1 (4:40) edge. From there, Klusaritz scored the first of his tallies (4-1, 1:33), before a string of unassisted Griffin goals expanded the Chestnut Hill College lead to 7-1 at the first-quarter break – the last of which ushered Klusaritz into the Scarlet and Gold elite. The Griffins' lead stood at 10-4 by halftime and with a 3-1 third quarter and a 4-2 fourth quarter grew to 17-7 by game's end.
Four Golden Falcons recorded two point apiece; freshman midfielder Anthony Major II (Staten Island, N.Y.) led the group with two scores. He also recorded a ground ball. In goal, freshman Pat Hemmer (Staten Island. N.Y.) (0-9) made 14 saves and collected three ground balls.
Klusaritz added a ground ball to historic performance. Howell finished with five points (1 goal, 4 assists) and five ground balls, while three other Griffins offered multiple point efforts. Sophomore attack
