Julia Reinert (Bridgeport, Pa.) captained the Scarlet and Gold offense with a seven goals, while freshman goalkeeper
Shenna Grady (West Chester, Pa.) (2-1) protected the Griffin net with nine saves and two ground balls.
Chestnut Hill College (11-6) got off to a slow start as they spotted Dominican College (6-10) a 5-0 (22:01) edge in the opening eight minutes. The bleeding stopped with senior attack
Julia Galantich (Clinton Corners, N.Y.) finding Fitzgerald once (5-1, 17:13) and junior defender
Macailagh Smith (Red Bank, N.J.) twice (15:44, 11:46), before scoring herself to bring the Griffins within two goals, 6-4, before the 10-minute mark (10:22). Unfortunately, the Lady Chargers match Chestnut Hill College the rest of the way to control an 8-6 halftime edge.
After intermission, the Griffins enjoyed a five-goal run of their own which gave them their first lead of the affair, 11-9 (22:38). The streak ended with a pair of Reinert goals (23:31, 22:38) and she answered the next Dominican College goal (11-10, 21:33) with a third second-half tally that kept the Griffins ahead two goals, 12-10, with 20 minutes (20:13) to play in the affair. Unfortunately, the Lady Chargers scored four of the next five goals to regain the lead, 14-13, just past the 12-minute mark (11:56). Reinert's sixth goal tied the contest, 14-14, 40 seconds later (11:16), and not long after that sophomore attack
Haley Norwillo (Duryea, Pa.) put the momentum back in the Griffins' favor, 15-14 (10:46). But the lead changed hands twice more as the Lady Chargers scored the next two goals (10:04, 9:48), 16-15, and Chestnut Hill College the last three to secure a 18-16 win; Reinert tied the affair, 16-16 (7:59), while Leckonby and Fitzgerald respectively provided the game-winning tallies at 6:33 (17-16) and 4:02 (18-16).
Sophomore attack Alayna Heegan (North Babylon, N.Y.) led the Dominican College with six goals, two assists, and two grounds balls. She was supported by a six-point (4 goals, 2 assists) performance from sophomore Jenna Fox (Stony Point, N.Y.), who also recorded a ground ball, seven draws, and a caused turnover. Senior midfielder Jeanie Peluso (Stony Point, N.Y.) also netted four goals, while providing the Lady Chargers with a ground ball and seven draws. Senior goalkeeper Cara Moran (Tomkins Cove, N.Y.) (6-10) totaled 14 saves, six ground balls, and a caused turnover.
On top of her seven goals, Reinert collected two ground balls and eight draws. Galantich totaled with seven points (1 goal, six assists) as well; she also recorded three ground balls, three draws, and two caused turnovers. Fitzgerald finished with four goals, three ground balls, and three draws, while Smith netted two goals, one assist, and a ground ball. Leckonby and sophomore attack

The Chestnut Hill College women's lacrosse team continues their road to the CACC Championship on Saturday, April 28, when they face #2 Jefferson University in a 2:30 p.m. semifinal at Georgian Court University.
