New Haven, Conn. - (9/28/2017) – On Sunday, September 30, Chestnut Hill College will join their fellow league members at Newark, Delaware's
Deerfield Country Club for the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Golf Championship. The first of the CACC's fall championships, the two-day tournament is hosted by Wilmington University and will be streamed live, via the
CACC Network, starting at 9:00 a.m. on both days of competition. The 2018 CACC Men's Golf Championship includes a practice round and banquet on Saturday, September 29. Tee times for both Sunday's and Monday's championship play will begin between 8:30 a.m. and 10:50 a.m. and should conclude by approximately 4:00 p.m., each day.
This is the first post-season event to be broadcast on the new CACC Network, which was launched in early August 2018. Fans of all 14 league institutions are able to access the CACC Network, whether online, on television, or on their favorite mobile device as the CACC Network app is available to download and view on
Roku,
Apple TV,
Amazon Fire TV, and

Chestnut Hill College's early fall play has been headlined by freshman
Jakob Lemieux (Toronto, Canada), who has earned the CACC Golf Rookie of the Week award on each of the league's first three weekly reports. The Griffin newcomer also earned a share of the CACC Golf Player of the Week, after leading Chestnut Hill College to a sixth place finish (6th of 10, 312-312, 624, +48) at the American International College (AIC) Fall Invitational with his two-day score of 148 (T8
th, 74-74, 148, +4). Prior to the AIC Fall Invitational, Chestnut Hill College enjoyed respective fourth (4
th of 14, 326, +42) and first (1
st of 3, 317, +29) place finishes at the Neumann University/Swarthmore College Frederick W. Anton III Memorial (9/16/2018) and the Jefferson Fall Invitational (9/5/2018). Junior
Taylor Mezzatesta (Forest Hill, Md.) and Lemieux both placed in the top-10 to lead the Griffins to their fourth place finish at the Frederick W. Anton III Memorial. Mezzatesta completed the 6,405-yard course in 76 (+5) strokes to place fourth on the individual leaderboard. Lemieux was just a stroke behind him, tying for fifth with his round of 77 (+6). Junior
Shawn Mayer (Brick, N.J.) (74, +2) topped the leaderboard at the Jefferson Invitational on Wednesday, September 5, edging out Cabrini College senior David Gall (Cinnaminson, N.J.) by a single stroke (75, +3). That same stroke helped Chestnut Hill College (317, +29) defeat Cabrini College (318, +30), as well as, host, Jefferson (331, +43). Mayer's two-over was backed by solid rounds from junior
