Five members of the Chestnut Hill College Women's Tennis team have been named to the 2024-25 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Women's Tennis all-Academic Team in an announcement by the conference office on Wednesday.
In order to be eligible for the CACC All-Academic Teams, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, must have been a student-athlete at their current school for at least two semesters, and must have achieved a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.50 or higher through the preceding semester.
Leading the way and earning CACC All-Academic team honors for the third time is senior Romi Meirovich. Meirovich is joined by two-time honorees Alison Isaac and Claudia Rasilla and first time honorees Elena Arenas Guisasola and Lilian Bandel.
The five Chestnut Hill players were among 21 women's tennis players named to the team, representing all six schools that play women's lacrosse within the conference. Chestnut Hill's five recipients are tied for the most among conference members along with Goldey-Beacom College and Jefferson University.
Meirovich graduated last month with a bachelor's degree in business administration and management. In May she also became a two-time College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® recipient, one of only three players in program history to earn the honor twice. She is a member of Chi Alpha Sigma, the national college athlete honor society and a member of Sigma Beta Delta Business honor society. Meirovich is a two-time D2 Athletic director's Association (D2ADA) Academic Achievement Award winner  and a three time ITA Scholar-Athlete honoree. She has earned Dean's List and CHC Athletic Academic Honor Roll accolades seven times during her four years at Chestnut Hill.
Isaac graduated last month with a bachelor's degree in health science. Like Meirovich she is a two-time College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® recipient. Isaac is a member  of two honor societies, Chi Alpha Sigma and Sigma Zeta, the math and science national honor society. She is also a two-time D2ADA Academic Achievement Award winner and a two time ITA Scholar Athlete.
Rasilla is a marketing major. Last month she joined Meirovich Isaac and Bandel as CSC Academic All-District® honorees.  She earned D2ADA Academic Achievement Award honors for 2023-24  and is a two-time ITA Scholar Athlete. Rasilla has earned Dean's List and CHC Athletic Academic honor roll accolades in every semester while at Chestnut Hill.
Bandel like several of her teammates is a business administration and management major and one of four Griffin women's tennis players to earn CSC Academic All-District® honors last month. As a freshman she also earned ITA Scholar Athlete accolades. Bandel has earned Deans List Rasilla has earned Dean's List and CHC Athletic Academic honor roll accolades in every semester while at Chestnut Hill.
A biology major, Arenas Guisasola has earned CHC Athletic Honor roll and Dean's List honors in each of her first four semesters at Chestnut Hill.
Since the 2007-08 season a total of 25 Chestnut Hill College women's tennis players have earned CACC all-Academic team honors a total of 48 times. Nine players, including Meirovich have been named to the all-academic team three times while five players, including Isaac and Rasilla have earned the honor twice.
