Crim Collects CACC Weekly Honor Roll Recognition With Career Performance in Win Over Queens College

New Haven, Conn. - (11/11/2019) – Sophomore guard Lauren Crim (Warrington, Pa.) averaged 16.0 points per game (PPG) in addition to providing a rebound, a pair of assists, and a steal during Chestnut Hill College’s 1-1 opening weekend, but it was her performance against the Knights that earned her an appearance on the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women’s Basketball Weekly Honor Roll. Crim played an important role in Chestnut Hill College’s 64-54 victory over Queens College on Sunday, November 10, as she hit five three pointers (5-of-13, .385) in a career-high 25-point effort.

Chestnut Hill College (1-1) lost its season-opening matchup against Molloy College, 55-45, on Saturday, November 9. The Griffins were behind by as many as 15 points, 41-26 (8:43) in the fourth quarter, but rallied to get within a possession in the final two minutes of the game (46-43, 1:52) before the Lions iced their win out from the foul line. The Scarlet and Gold’s late run included clutch three point baskets from freshman forward Lindsey Lane (Havertown, Pa.) and Crim in support of a double-double (17 points, 10 rebounds) performance from sophomore forward Leah Miller (Punxsutawney, Pa.). Crim finished the affair with seven points, a rebound, and an assist.

Chestnut Hill College rebounded from the loss to the Lions by getting first-year Head Coach Jim Connolly his first win in a 64-54 triumph over Queens College on Sunday, November 10. Double figure performances from three Griffins - including Crim’s 25-point outburst and another Miller double-double (12 points, 10 rebounds) - powered the Griffins past the Knights in an 18-11 fourth-quarter spread. The Scarlet and Gold was active on the glass, grabbing 38 rebounds, including 15 offensive rebounds for 13 second-chance points. Sophomore guard Abbey Spratt (Doylestown, Pa.) dished out six assists to aid in the Chestnut Hill College scoring efforts. Crim was the recipient of some of those Spratt finds, knocking down five looks from beyond the arch.
