Williams Earns Second CACC Honorable Mention
 
New Haven, CT – (11/27/2010) – Senior guard Brandon Williams (Philadelphia, PA) earned his second honorable mention for the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Player of the Week Award with 22 points, seven assists, three rebounds, and three steals in a loss to Slippery Rock University on November 27. Williams was an honorable mention for the first week of competition, ending November 15.
 
Against Slippery Rock University, Chestnut Hill College (1-3) led for a majority of the opening half behind Williams, who scored 13 points, dished out three assists, and made two steals in the period. The Griffins trailed 35-32 at the break, but a run midway through the second half carried the Rock to the win. Williams finished the contest with 22 points on 8-of-14 (57.1%) shooting; he also supplied seven assists and three steals in the 77-61 loss. Williams is leading the Griffins in points (19.3 PPG) and assists (4.5 APG) which ranks him third in scoring and sixth in assists among his CACC rivals. He is 27-of-55 (.491) from the floor including a 10-of-23 (.435) shooting clip from three-point territory.
