Box Score Lakewood, N.J. - (11/8/2017) – The Chestnut Hill College women's volleyball team visited Georgian Court University for this evening Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) South Division match. The Lions claimed a 3-0 (25-21, 25-21, 25-17) league win over the Griffins, splitting this season's league matches and eliminating the Scarlet and Gold from CACC postseason play in the process. Peyton Reno (Wilmington, Del.) and sophomore outside hitter
Reily Byxbee (Madison, Conn.) headlined the defensive effort with 14 digs apiece.
Junior outside hitter Peggy Rosario (Toa Baja, Puerto Rico) dominated the affair for Georgian Court University (12-19, 10-8), who won the first two sets over Chestnut Hill College (9-21, 8-10) by a 25-21 margin and the last by a 25-17 spread. Rosario scored 21 kills on a .353 (21K-3E-51TA) hitting percentage and made seven digs for the Lions. She was complimented by a double digit kill effort from sophomore right side Amy Bruno (Barnegat, N.J.) and benefitted from 30-assist performance by freshman setter Ashley Pierson (Rogersville, Mo.). Bruno also recorded four blocks (1 solo, 3 assists), while Pierson added a kill and 11 digs to her playmaking. Sophomore libero Xanelix Merced (Toms River, N.J.) hustled to 15 digs, but freshman outside hitter Aubrey Binkley (Toms River, N.J.) led the team with 16.
