Box Score Bridgeport, Conn. – (3/19/2018) – Making good on a 6-3 halftime lead, Chestnut Hill College outlasted the University of Bridgeport in a 10-9 conclusion. Sophomore attack
Dai Pearson (Pottstown, Pa.) and junior midfielder
Julia Reinert (Bridgeport, Pa.) spirited the Griffins' early ascension with two goals apiece, while senior attack
Julia Galantich (Clinton Corners, N.Y.) tallied the game-winner as the exclamation point on a four-point performance that facilitated the Griffin victory in the highly-competitive affair.
Chestnut Hill College (2-2) scored the first two goals of the contest as Galantich found Reinert for the first, 1-0, at 27:13 and six minutes later (21:01) senior midfielder
Hunter Leckonby (Charleston, S.C.) located sophomore midfielder
Spencer Fitzgerald (Huntingtown, Md.). The University of Bridgeport (1-4) put a mark on the scoreboard soon after (2-1, 20:11), but a second Reinert goal (3-1, 19:07) was only the precursor to a string of three unassisted Griffin goals; Pearson had the first two (11:29, 10:37) and Galantich the last (5:45), leaving the Scarlet and Gold with a 6-2 advantage that the Purple Knights trimmed to 6-3 (2:16) by halftime.
Pearson opened the second half scoring with a free position goal at 29:19, 7-3, but the Purple Knights matched the penalty strike with one of their own (7-4, 27:48) and reduced the Griffin lead to two goals, 7-5, a little more than a minute later (26:23). Reinert completed a pass from senior midfielder
Erica McLaughlin (Magnolia, N.J.) to restore Chestnut Hill College's three-goal advantage, 8-5, at 25:41 and two minutes later (23:26) Galantich located sophomore attack
Haley Norwillo (Duryea, Pa.) to extend the Scarlet and Gold lead to four goals, 9-5. The Griffins held that advantage for nearly 16 minutes as the Purple Knights' final push began with a free position score at 7:50 (9-6). They scored again at 7:11 (9-7) and could have completed the comeback save Galantich's game-winner at 1:17 (10-7).

She got support from the senior midfielder Shannon Colligan (Greenwich, Conn.) who finished the contest with two goals, one assist, two ground balls, seven draws, and a caused turnover.
