Ndiaye’s Career Performance Garners

CACC Rookie of the Week Award

New Haven, CT – (3/7/2011) – Freshman forward Khadim Ndiaye (Long Beach, NY) saved the best performance of his rookie season for the CACC Semifinals as he scored 23 points in a dramatic 82-80 loss to Bloomfield College on Friday, March 4. For his efforts, Ndiaye represented Chestnut Hill College on this week’s Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) award release.

Ndiaye scored 16 points in the first half against Bloomfield College (21-8, 15-3); hitting 7-of-12 (58.3) from the floor and 2-of-3 (66.7%) at the line. Down the stretch, he scored five straight Griffin points to put Chestnut Hill College (12-16, 8-9) within a point of the Deacons, 75-74 (3:21) late. The Griffins tied the affair in the final minute, 80-80 (0:59), but could not convert the game-winning field goal to overcome the Deacons. Ndiaye finished the contest 10-of-20 (50.0%) from the field and 3-of-4 (75.0%) at the free throw line while grabbing seven rebounds, but he could not will the Griffins to victory. Ndiaye started 18 games in his rookie season. He provided 8.5 PPG and 4.9 RPG; shooting 51.6% (95-of-184) from the floor and 67.2% (39-of-58) from the free throw line.
