Earns Comas A CACC Honorable Mention
 
New Haven, CT – (11/22/2010) – Junior center Dan Comas (Philadelphia, PA) became the second straight men’s basketball player to earn an honorable mention for the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Player of the Week Award, totaling 23 points, seven rebounds, a block, and a steal in the Griffins 88-73 win at Bloomsburg University. Senior guard Brandon Williams (Philadelphia, PA) was the first to earn an honorable mention for Chestnut Hill College, doing so for the week ending November 14.
 
On November 20, Chestnut Hill College (1-2) continued their season-opening road trip with a contest at Bloomsburg University. Comas led the Griffins to victory on 8-of-9 (88.9%) shooting from the floor and a 7-of-9 (77.8%) clip at the charity stripe. With 12 first-half points, he helped Chestnut Hill College to a 40-22 halftime advantage before the Griffins closed out the Huskies, 88-73, with a 62.5% (10-of-16) team shooting performance. Comas is averaging 17.3 points-per-game (PPG) and 9.3 rebounds-per-game (RPG), in addition to three blocks and a steal in the Griffins first, three contests. He ranks second on the team in scoring and first in rebounding.
 
The men’s basketball team’s next contest comes at home on Saturday, November 27, as the Griffins host Slippery Rock University in their 2:00 p.m. home opener.
